Senior Pharmacy Technician (Specialist) - Aseptic Compounding & Dispensary

About the role

Cabrini Health's pharmacy departments in Malvern and Brighton provide patient-centred services including clinical pharmacy, dispensing, procurement, aseptic and cytotoxic compounding and clinical trial management. The pharmacy team has two permanent full-time Senior Pharmacy Technician (Specialist) positions available to lead the team of Pharmacy Technicians across the Aseptic Compounding and Dispensary areas. The role is Monday to Friday, with possible weekend shifts and work between Cabrini Malvern and Cabrini Brighton.

Key responsibilities

• Train Pharmacy Technicians at unqualified and qualified levels
• Assist and support Pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications and sterile preparations
• Ensure drugs are stored safely and appropriately
• Communicate and cooperate with the department and the wider organisation

Required profile

• Skilled Senior Pharmacy Technician with experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Certificate IV in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support
• Competency in PBS management, manufacturing, clinician trials or drug utilisation
• Aseptic and cytotoxic manufacturing experience is an advantage
