Senior Pavement Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Pavement Engineer to lead the design and delivery of high‑quality, cost‑effective pavement solutions for major road and highway projects across Australia. You will apply deep expertise in pavement materials, design methodologies, and construction practices to create innovative, standards‑compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review detailed pavement design packages, including calculations, reports, and technical documentation.
• Conduct pavement analysis and design for road and highway infrastructure projects.
• Select appropriate materials and devise cost‑effective pavement solutions.
• Ensure all designs comply with Australian standards and best practice.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and graduates.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to support project delivery.
• Lead small project teams and manage allocated work packages.
• Support site investigations, field inspections, and construction‑phase services as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in pavement engineering for road and highway infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Australian pavement design standards and methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects or lead small teams.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.

Required skills

• CIRCLY software proficiency.
• Familiarity with PLAXIS (desirable).
