Senior Paraplanner

About the role

Aureus Private Wealth is growing and needs a Senior Paraplanner to support its Australian advisers. You will take complex files and turn them into clear, compliant Statements of Advice (SoA) and Reports of Advice (RoA) without being chased. You will work with the Paraplanning Team Lead, Research, Implementation and advisers, and over time help shape how paraplanning runs, including where AI can save hours.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare SoAs and RoAs for Australian advisers covering super, retirement, investments, SMSFs and personal insurance
• Produce quality advice documents that pass compliance on the first attempt
• Manage your own queue and flag gaps or risks early
• Build templates, checklists and AI-assisted workflows that improve the team's process

Required profile

• 3-5+ years preparing Australian SoAs and RoAs (essential)
• Owns your work and raises problems early with a proposed fix
• Takes feedback well and enjoys testing new technology critically

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of super, retirement planning, investments, SMSFs and personal insurance
• Solid understanding of ASIC requirements and advice compliance
• Daily Xplan use and experience with research platforms
• Bonus: experience with AI-assisted paraplanning tools such as Claude
