Senior Oral Health Therapist

About the role

As a Senior Oral Health Therapist with Metro North Oral Health Services, you will deliver advanced oral health clinical services across community and hospital-based settings, applying independent clinical judgement to complex caseloads. You will also provide day-to-day clinical supervision and support to less experienced oral health practitioners, and lead service improvement, workforce development, education and research initiatives within the School Dental Service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-level oral health therapy services across diverse and complex caseloads, using evidence-based practice and independent clinical judgement.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and education to oral health practitioners, students, assistants and support staff.
• Contribute to service planning, caseload management and the delivery of high-quality oral health services in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Lead and take part in quality improvement, research and innovation initiatives that improve clinical outcomes and service delivery.
• Give expert clinical advice to stakeholders and keep accurate patient records and service activity data for reporting and evaluation.
