Senior .NET Developer

About the role

VALE Partners is recruiting for an international SaaS scale-up that has grown its Australian engineering team in Melbourne. This is a senior individual contributor role split between hands-on feature development and engineering process improvement, helping the team build lasting practices around agentic engineering. The software is used by world-leading customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain features across the full stack, using React/TypeScript on the frontend and .NET Core on the backend, on Azure infrastructure.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and automated testing, treating software quality as a first-class concern.
• Take part in code reviews, technical discussions and ongoing codebase improvement.
• Turn promising AI-assisted development experiments into secure, repeatable team practices.
• Release and monitor production software regularly, owning each release from development through to live.

Required profile

• Production work with .NET Core and TypeScript, with long-term ownership of the codebase.
• Experience with messaging and event-driven architecture, ideally in both greenfield and brownfield settings.
• Product thinking: contributing beyond the code, such as identifying edge cases and challenging assumptions.
• Experience discussing technical issues with non-technical stakeholders and resolving conflict or ambiguity.
• Experience shipping something using agentic coding tools and loops, commercially or recreationally.
