Senior National Account Manager – Independent Retail

About the role

Ferrero Australia is seeking an experienced Senior National Account Manager to lead strategic relationships within the Independent Grocery channel. The role will develop and execute growth strategies, drive commercial performance and deliver sustainable outcomes for both Ferrero and its customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement customer strategies and Joint Business Plans aligned with Ferrero’s commercial objectives.
• Build strong partnerships with key customer stakeholders to drive sales growth, profitability and category performance.
• Lead day‑to‑day account management including pricing, promotions, ranging and activation planning.
• Use commercial insights and performance data to identify growth opportunities and address challenges.
• Manage trade investment to maximise return on investment and achieve agreed objectives.
• Prepare and lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, promotional activities and business development.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful execution of customer plans and operational excellence.
• Own forecasting and planning activities for assigned customers to support business performance and supply management.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or related discipline.
• Proven experience managing independent grocery, large retail, wholesale or distributor accounts in the FMCG industry.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sustainable business growth.
• Excellent analytical ability to leverage sales, shopper, category and market data for decision‑making.
• Experience in forecasting, financial management and commercial planning.
• Outstanding client and stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated people leadership, coaching and development of high‑performing sales teams.
