Senior Mobile Developer – React Native

About the role

MECCA is reimagining the intersection of beauty and technology, and mobile is at the core of this transformation. As a Senior Mobile Developer you will lead the design and delivery of high‑performance, scalable mobile experiences for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain mobile applications using React Native, with deep knowledge of iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) for native bridging and optimisation.
• Ensure applications meet scalability, performance, accessibility, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and QA engineers to translate ideas into seamless mobile experiences.
• Integrate with backend systems and cloud services via REST APIs, delivering reliable and performant functionality.
• Apply a test‑first mindset by creating unit, integration, and end‑to‑end automated tests.
• Continuously improve the CI/CD pipeline to enable fast, low‑risk releases.
• Profile, debug, and monitor app performance, implementing security measures such as OAuth, JWT, and biometric authentication.

Required profile

• 5+ years of mobile engineering experience with production‑grade React Native applications.
• Hands‑on experience with Expo, including modules, config plugins, and native app configuration.
• Strong understanding of native iOS and Android development (Swift, Kotlin, platform APIs, push notifications, deep linking, release workflows).
• Experience building shared component libraries or design systems for mobile.
• Proven track record shipping apps to the App Store and Google Play, managing releases, compliance, and post‑release support.
