Senior Manager - Technology Advisory & Deals

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring a Senior Manager in its Technology Advisory line of service, based in Sydney. The role helps businesses use technology to solve complex challenges, delivering technology strategies and transformation roadmaps, leading post-merger technology integration and advising clients on emerging digital and AI-enabled operating models.

Key responsibilities

• Lead large-scale M&A client engagements and technology transformation programs, defining enterprise-wide technology strategies, digital transformation initiatives, operating model redesigns and AI-enabled innovations with senior stakeholders.
• Partner with C-suite executives to develop and secure sponsorship for delivery strategies and technology transformation business cases.
• Turn strategic intent into detailed delivery roadmaps, target operating models and investment cases.
• Advise on emerging technologies, delivery models (including AI and agile) and architecture decisions, balancing cost, risk and innovation.
• Lead governance and risk management across M&A programs, covering performance tracking, due diligence, transition planning and capability modelling.
• Coach Managers and Junior Consultants and contribute to business development and the practice's market reputation in M&A.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years' experience with a leading consulting firm or strategy house, focused on Technology M&A.
• Proven experience in technology strategy and transformation, including governance, strategic delivery planning, multi-stream delivery and post-merger technology integration.
• Ability to lead client engagements, build relationships with senior stakeholders and manage high-performing teams.
• Experience with clients in Financial Services, Mining, Energy or Retail.

Required skills

• Analytical and problem-solving skills, advising on emerging technologies such as Agentic AI and agile delivery.
• Preferred: cloud computing, business architecture, digital strategies and information technology applications.
