Senior Manager, Portfolio Oversight

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Portfolio Oversight to lead the Portfolio Oversight team within Group Risk at ANZ. This senior leadership position will drive credit governance, reporting and control effectiveness while partnering with stakeholders across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Portfolio Oversight team, managing credit governance processes, reporting and control effectiveness.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and influence risk outcomes across business units and governance forums.
• Oversee audit, compliance and regulatory engagement activities, ensuring timely resolution of issues and actions.
• Build team capability while promoting a strong risk culture, compliance and continuous improvement practices.
• Provide oversight and insights to support sound risk management and portfolio outcomes.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen governance frameworks and risk management practices.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance portfolio oversight and organisational capability.

Required profile

• Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management capability.
• Advanced knowledge of risk management, governance frameworks and regulatory environments.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including experience preparing executive‑level papers.
• Adaptable, open‑minded approach with ability to pivot to evolving business needs.
• Proven experience leading teams through change and fostering a high‑performing culture.
