Senior Manager, Issues and Regulatory Risk

About the role

ING is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead a team that handles incidents, regulatory responses and customer remediation across Mortgages, Consumer Lending and Insurance. This high‑visibility role will work closely with senior leaders to protect customers, meet regulatory obligations and strengthen risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of specialists responsible for incident, event and remediation management across Mortgages, Consumer Lending and Insurance.
• Oversee end‑to‑end management of significant incidents and events, including regulatory notifications and escalations.
• Lead customer remediation activities, ensuring timely delivery, strong governance and positive outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver high‑quality reporting and updates to executives and leadership forums.
• Lead responses to regulatory enquiries, reviews and requests, coordinating stakeholders and meeting tight deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven people‑leadership experience with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Strong incident, event or issue management experience within banking, insurance or financial services.
• Exceptional executive‑level written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience managing regulatory responses and working with regulators on complex matters.
• Strong decision‑making, prioritisation and stakeholder‑management abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
