Senior Manager - Internal Audit

About the role

BlueScope is seeking a Senior Manager – Internal Audit for its ANZ operations. Reporting to the Head of Assurance & Risk, the role will influence governance, risk management and internal controls across Australia and New Zealand, supporting strategic decision‑making at the highest level.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of the ANZ Internal Audit Plan.
• Execute risk‑based audit engagements aligned with enterprise risk priorities.
• Provide clear, board‑ready reporting and actionable insights.
• Identify systemic control weaknesses and emerging risk themes.
• Strengthen integration between audit, risk and assurance activities.
• Manage regional audit delivery, including co‑sourced audit partners.
• Support executive and Board engagement with high‑quality assurance insights.

Required profile

• Commercially minded assurance professional with strong stakeholder relationships.
• Proven experience leading internal audit, assurance or risk‑based review programs in a complex organisation.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial operations or supply‑chain environments is preferred.
• Deep understanding of governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Experience with co‑sourced or hybrid audit delivery models.
• Ability to influence and engage senior executives and Board members.
• Background in a large corporate or ASX‑listed environment is highly regarded.
• CA, Accounting degree or equivalent professional qualification.
