Senior Manager, Global Workplace & Facilities Management

About the role

Rio Tinto is looking for an experienced senior leader to shape and deliver its global workplace and facilities management strategy. Based in Perth, you will act as a trusted advisor to executive and senior leaders, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑performing workplaces that meet current and future business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute Rio Tinto’s global workplace and corporate real‑estate strategy.
• Lead a global team, overseeing performance management, capability building and succession planning.
• Manage the global office portfolio to ensure safe, productive and high‑quality workplace experiences.
• Drive long‑term workplace and portfolio planning to support growth, consolidation and changing business requirements.
• Oversee strategic supplier relationships, capital projects, and high‑value contracts for facilities management and property.
• Maintain accountability for workplace operating expenditure, capital investment planning and financial performance.
• Build strong relationships with product groups, functions and regional business leaders to align workplace strategies with business needs.
• Champion safety, workplace experience and continuous improvement across all activities.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience leading workplace, facilities management and corporate real‑estate functions.
• Proven ability to influence and advise executive leadership on strategy and operational matters.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, capital planning and contract negotiations.
• Demonstrated success in leading global, multi‑disciplinary teams.
