Senior Manager Economic Crime Risk

About the role

CommBank is recruiting two Senior Managers for its Economic Crime Risk (ECR) advisory team within Institutional Banking & Markets. Reporting to the Executive Manager, ECR Advisory - IB&M, you will advise the IB&M and Group Treasury businesses on economic crime risk management, including AML/CTF and fraud/scams reforms, and partner with stakeholders to strengthen risk management across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Advise business units and their support units on economic crime risks, controls and regulatory obligations
• Guide economic crime risk policies and governance
• Help stakeholders identify, manage and mitigate economic crime risks onshore and offshore
• Support day-to-day execution of customer matters, transactions and product development
• Support economic crime-related operations and transformation projects, and build reporting to improve risk visibility
• Help develop action plans for economic crime issues and assist with audits and regulatory engagements
• Collaborate with other ECR and Risk teams and help build technology platforms, including AI-driven initiatives

Required profile

• Experience in economic crime compliance, preferably in IB&M and/or GT advisory capacity
• Deep knowledge of AML/CTF, sanctions and anti-bribery and corruption regulations
• Ability to assess economic crime risks related to customers, transactions and products
• Experience with international regulatory obligations
• Strong stakeholder management and executive writing skills
