Senior Manager – Conduct Risk

About the role

The Senior Manager – Conduct Risk will provide enterprise‑wide leadership and subject‑matter expertise on conduct risk across ANZ. You will shape and continuously improve the bank’s conduct risk framework, policies and practices, ensuring fair outcomes for customers and robust risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and ongoing enhancement of ANZ’s Conduct Risk Framework, policies and supporting practices.
• Formulate enterprise‑level compliance opinions on fair customer outcomes and the effectiveness of conduct risk identification, management and mitigation.
• Monitor industry, regulatory and emerging conduct‑risk trends to inform strategy and approach.
• Partner with business, risk and compliance stakeholders to implement and uphold conduct‑risk requirements.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert, providing trusted advice and challenge to senior stakeholders.
• Develop mechanisms and insights to assess, evidence and monitor conduct risk across the organisation.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and industry forums.
• Support regulatory change initiatives and embed conduct‑risk considerations into business decision‑making.
• Contribute to an enhanced risk culture and promote values‑based behaviours.
• Deliver reporting recommendations and insights for senior governance forums.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Law.
• Significant experience in risk management, compliance, conduct risk or a related field within a complex financial‑services environment.
• Deep understanding of conduct‑risk frameworks, governance principles, consumer‑protection laws and regulatory expectations.
