Senior Manager - Audit

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Manager - Audit in Boorloo, Perth. The role works alongside the data transformation team to create custom audit solutions that digitise and automate most stages of an audit, while keeping time to engage with clients and teams. It involves developing new and existing client relationships, leading skilled project teams and delivering a first-class customer experience on high-profile engagements. The role is based in Boorloo and may be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the audit engagement by defining audit strategy in consultation with the Partner and executing it in line with policy and protocol
• Manage the audit process, considering audit risk and accounting technical matters
• Lead and manage fieldwork on clients' sites, liaising with other departments to ensure smooth delivery

Required profile

• At least 7 years' experience as an auditor
• Proven experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements, and leading planning, execution and reporting on audits
• Proven track record developing and maintaining client relationships
• Strong communication, negotiation and collaboration skills
• A strong academic record, including a degree and progress towards or completion of a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA) or equivalent
• SOX or PCAOB experience is desirable

Required skills

• Expertise in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and related financial reporting matters
