Senior Lighting Consultant - Sydney Territory

About the role

A recruiter is offering a Senior Lighting Consultant position in Sydney with the exclusive Australian and New Zealand distributor of a premium European architectural lighting brand. You will own the Sydney territory, working with lighting designers, electrical engineers, architects, interior designers, builders and developers on specification, and report directly to the Owner. The business is strong in high-end residential and has commercial wins, with a clear push to grow that side.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Sydney territory and build relationships with lighting designers, electrical engineers, architects, interior designers, builders and developers.
• Work directly with lighting designers and electrical engineers on specification of premium architectural lighting.
• Build on an established customer base, with no cold start.
• Help grow the commercial side of the business alongside the strong residential presence.

Required profile

• Lighting experience is the starting point.
• Sales or specification experience in premium architectural or decorative lighting or commercial lighting.
• A lighting design or technical lighting background looking to move to the commercial side.
• A strong A&D specification background from another premium category, where the architect or designer is the buyer, with real lighting exposure.
• Understanding of how a premium product gets specified and who signs it off.

What we offer

• Base salary of $130,000 to $150,000 plus superannuation.
• Car allowance.
• Commission on top of base.
