Senior Lecturer in Microelectronics

About the role

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Queensland seeks a Senior Lecturer to lead world‑class teaching, research and industry engagement in microelectronics.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and grow an internationally recognised research programme in microelectronics, publish high‑quality outputs and secure external funding.
• Develop, coordinate and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer architecture, analogue and mixed‑signal design, digital and VLSI design, and embedded systems.
• Supervise Higher Degree by Research students, mentor staff and students, and contribute to responsible research conduct.
• Participate in school, faculty and university service, build external partnerships and support staff wellbeing.

Required profile

• PhD in Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, VLSI Design, Electronic Systems Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in microelectronics and electronic systems with a record of high‑quality research publications and international recognition.
• Successful track record in obtaining competitive research funding.
• Evidence of high‑quality teaching, curriculum design and supervision of Honours and higher degree students.
