Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor – Clinical Education Lead (MD Phases 2‑3)

About the role

Griffith University’s School of Medicine and Dentistry seeks an enthusiastic, clinically active medical practitioner to lead clinical education for MD students in Phases 2 and 3. The role involves coordinating simulation, case‑based learning, bedside teaching and assessment across the Sunshine Coast Health Institute and Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate clinical education for the final two years of the MD program, including simulation, case‑based learning and bedside teaching.
• Lead curriculum development, course convenorship and assessment activities for Phases 2 and 3.
• Provide academic leadership to foster teaching innovation and excellence.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Sub‑Dean, Phase Leads and academic colleagues across campuses to ensure a consistent, high‑quality student learning experience.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognised institution and current AHPRA registration (or eligibility).
• PhD or equivalent qualification, or evidence of progress towards completion, and/or professional fellowship.
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching medical students or junior doctors in academic or clinical settings.

Required skills

• Experience coordinating simulation and case‑based learning activities.
• Strong leadership and curriculum development capabilities.
