Senior iOS Engineer – Google Photos

About the role

Google Photos is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to shape the video consumption experience for millions of users. You will work on the Photos Video Consumption team, building end‑to‑end iOS features that enable smooth playback, smart search, and storage optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship high‑quality, scalable iOS video features.
• Collaborate with engineers to define and continuously improve the iOS architecture.
• Mentor a small group of iOS engineers, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.
• Work closely with cross‑functional partners to integrate video utilities with Google Photos services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of professional iOS mobile development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with Swift or Objective‑C.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong background in data structures, algorithms, and iOS UI concepts.
