Senior Inventory Planner

About the role

Weir is seeking a Senior Inventory Planner to lead inventory planning across APAC, starting with Australia. The role balances customer service, working capital, and operational performance while supporting the company’s sustainable mining mission.

Key responsibilities

• Execute inventory planning activities, prepare forecasts, maintain parameters and manage stock movement across multiple warehouses and product categories.
• Analyse performance metrics such as turns, service levels, ageing and slow‑moving stock, delivering root‑cause analysis and actionable insights via reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with supply chain, demand planning, procurement, manufacturing, sales and finance to resolve MRP exceptions and embed best practices.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, improve data quality, support regional governance reviews and coach planners and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate 100% commitment to zero‑harm safety behaviours.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of inventory or supply planning experience in complex, multi‑site environments, preferably engineering, manufacturing or industrial equipment.
• Advanced Excel proficiency for data analysis, formulas and look‑ups.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, preferably SAP, for inventory management, forecasting and replenishment.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving abilities with autonomous decision‑making.
