Senior Insurance Broker (Buying Groups)

About the role

Marsh Australia is looking for a Senior Insurance Broker to join its Buying Groups team. You will take ownership of a range of industry insurance schemes and play a key part in their day-to-day strategic and operational management. The role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane and follows a hybrid model, with at least three days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of insurance schemes with care, accuracy and commercial awareness
• Deliver outstanding service to scheme members and corporate sponsors
• Drive new business and renewal processes, including policy binding, invoicing and distribution of policy documentation
• Prepare quotation and placing slips
• Support pre-renewal and broking meetings with relevant documentation and insights
• Produce renewal reports and insurance manuals as required

Required profile

• Tier 1 Insurance Broking Compliance qualification
• 5+ years' experience in general insurance broking, ideally in a client-facing or advisory role
• Experience in a group, SME or scheme-based environment (required)
• Exposure to client service, underwriting, claims or broking (highly regarded)
• Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication with a range of stakeholders
• Willingness to learn, adapt and develop new skills

• Capability across the Microsoft suite and broker systems/platforms
• Detail-oriented, well organised and able to solve problems creatively
• Able to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
