Senior IBM ODM & BAW Developer

About the role

The Senior IBM ODM & BAW Developer designs, develops, tests and implements business process workflows and business rules using IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) and IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM). The role works closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Product Owners and delivery teams to automate business processes, implement decision services and support end-to-end solution delivery.

Key responsibilities

• BAW development: design, develop, configure and deploy workflows, process applications, services, coaches, integrations and user interfaces, and integrate them with internal and external systems via APIs, web services and messaging frameworks.
• ODM development: build decision services and business rules, manage rule sets, decision tables and rule flows, and support versioning, testing and deployment of rules.
• Solution delivery: take part in requirements workshops and technical design, write technical specifications and documentation, support SIT, UAT and production deployments, and perform code reviews.
• DevOps: contribute to CI/CD, release management and automation.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners and Solution Architects, and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software development experience, including significant experience with IBM BAW/BPM and IBM ODM.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Desirable: IBM BAW/BPM and/or IBM ODM certifications; enterprise application development certifications are highly regarded.

Required skills

• Strong experience with IBM BAW and IBM ODM.
• Integration with REST APIs, SOAP, MQ, JMS and other integration technologies.
• Java, JavaScript, SQL, XML and JSON.
• Agile delivery environments.
• Desirable: IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation, Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins, microservices, BPMN.
