Senior Guidewire Developer - PolicyCenter

About the role

PwC Australia's Guidewire team delivers end-to-end Guidewire implementation services to general insurance clients, advising ASX organisations, not-for-profits and private clients. It is looking for a Senior Developer to lead a team of developers and grow the Guidewire practice, working across core Guidewire and related platforms such as document management, finance, digital and data.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and leadership to a team of developers so they can use technology to achieve key business objectives.
• Work across core Guidewire and related platforms and technologies.
• Identify, define and lead continuous improvement activities to improve solution quality and speed of delivery.
• Work with client business SMEs to understand requirements and turn them into viable solutions.
• Maintain and fix issues across dev, QA, UAT and production environments, and take part in unit testing and documentation.

Required profile

• Real-time knowledge of enterprise system integration, preferably with an insurance background.
• Experience leading development teams, including work allocation, technical designs, code reviews and merges.
• Ability to influence wider technology teams and work with project managers and business analyst leads.
• Strong oral and written business and technical communication.

Required skills

• Guidewire PolicyCenter (cloud platform preferred); BillingCenter and ClaimCenter considered.
• Integration with Document Management, Finance, Digital and other platforms.
• Oracle, SQL Server or Postgres, with strong SQL.
• Preferred: Guidewire Cloud, APD, Guidewire Testing Framework, Integration Gateway, Guidewire Studio, Guidewire Cloud Console, Git/Bucket.
