Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Web)

About the role

The Melbourne Design Centre, part of Motorola Solutions' Software Enterprise, builds and connects technologies to help keep people safer. The Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Web) builds new web applications and maintains and supports existing ones, focusing on designing and building modern, responsive web front-ends and the APIs that power them.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build modern, responsive web front-ends and the APIs that power them
• Take part in end-to-end development tasks such as documentation, testing, deployment, support, troubleshooting and integration
• Work around React, TypeScript.NET, Azure Cloud and Docker

Required profile

• Permanent residency or citizenship required
• 5+ years of continuous commercial experience in an enterprise environment
• 5+ years of engineering experience
• 2+ years delivering with Agile methodology
• Strong software development, design and architecture experience, ideally in an enterprise setting
• Can-do attitude, sound planning and prioritisation, ability to multi-task and work collaboratively

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), NodeJS, TypeScript and frameworks such as React, Next.js or Vue
• Package management (Yarn, NPM); familiarity with Vite, ESLint, Prettier and modern TS tooling
• Jest and React Testing Library for unit and integration testing
• WebSocket, WebRTC, state management (Redux/MobX), HTTP, JSON and RESTful design
• CI/CD pipelines and Agile; bonus: C#, SQL Server, Docker, Jira, Confluence, Figma, Webpack, Gulp, Rollup
