Senior Full Stack Data Engineer (Hybrid, Sydney)

About the role

Precta is building a scalable, data‑driven web application that will serve as the primary lens for clients and internal teams to access talent insights. As a Senior Full Stack Data Engineer you will take ownership of the platform from its current Next.js foundation, turning documentation and prototypes into a production‑ready solution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop end‑to‑end features across the front‑end (Next.js) and back‑end, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Design, model, and optimise SQL databases and queries to support reporting and analytics.
• Implement and maintain Power BI dashboards, translating DAX logic into robust visualisations.
• Integrate Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, to orchestrate data pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with the BI Analyst and Talent Intelligence Lead to define road‑maps and technical decisions.
• Produce clear, comprehensive documentation for code, data models, and processes.

Required profile

• Proven full‑stack engineering experience with a strong data focus.
• Ability to work autonomously, ask the right questions and build trust across the organisation.
• Excellent documentation habits and attention to detail.
