Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

A recruiter is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to lead a hands-on finance function, drive financial governance and partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic business objectives. The role suits a qualified finance professional combining strong technical expertise with commercial acumen and a passion for leadership and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate, timely financial reports, including month-end close, management reporting, budgets, forecasts and business performance analysis.
• Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet through financial controls, reconciliations and review processes.
• Oversee statutory reporting, coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Manage internal audit activities and drive timely resolution of audit findings.
• Prepare and submit statutory accounts, tax filings and other compliance requirements accurately.
• Advise senior leaders and stakeholders on strategy, commercial insight and governance.
• Lead a high-performance, collaborative culture and drive process improvements and finance transformation.
• Support business growth through financial planning, analysis and risk management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
• CPA, CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
• At least 5 years' experience as a Financial Accountant.
• Proven experience leading external and internal audit processes.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence business decisions.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of SAP and financial systems.
