Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

The Senior Financial Accountant will safeguard the integrity of Buzz’s financial records across multiple entities and jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards and supporting a robust control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes for all group entities.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Manage accounting and reporting for domestic and international entities, including multi‑currency transactions.
• Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, and landed costing across the group.
• Coordinate statutory accounts, GST/BAS reporting and support external tax advisers.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and drive continuous improvement of reporting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CA or CPA qualified.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting, external audit or financial control.
• Proven experience in multi‑entity, multi‑currency environments and consolidated reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and GST/BAS compliance.
