Senior External Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior External Auditor to join our growing audit practice on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. The successful candidate will work with a diverse client portfolio, applying Australian Auditing Standards and preparing statutory financial statements in line with Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Lead external audit engagements for a range of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements and related disclosures.
• Coordinate audit teams, providing guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and senior management.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulatory changes and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA qualification.
• Significant external audit experience gained in a mid‑to‑top tier firm, both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong familiarity with Australian Auditing Standards, Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
