Senior Estimator

About the role

EnerMech is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to lead the development of high‑quality cost estimates, provide commercial insight, and support strategic bid activities for complex projects in Henderson, Western Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation and development of detailed project estimates, analysing tender documents, specifications and scopes of work.
• Develop, document and manage the Basis of Estimate (BOE) process and chair estimate review sessions.
• Present estimates to internal approval committees and develop estimating strategies for major tenders.
• Maintain estimating databases, productivity benchmarks and historical cost information.
• Mentor and develop the estimating team through coaching and technical support.
• Produce detailed cost analysis, cash‑flow and financial models to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Legal and external suppliers to create accurate cost models.
• Develop and maintain standard labour rates, location‑based resource rate cards and benchmarking data.
• Support tender clarification, risk assessments, SWOT analyses and lead project handovers for awarded contracts.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Estimator in mechanical, electrical or industrial sectors.
• Significant experience in estimating, commercial analysis, quantity surveying, project controls or cost engineering.
• Strong understanding of estimating methodologies, cost modelling, benchmarking and risk analysis.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and present commercially sound recommendations.
• Advanced analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills with high attention to detail.
