Senior Engineer, Operations

About the role

The Senior Engineer, Operations will join the Digital Business Solutions team within QUT’s Administrative Division. This permanent, hybrid position supports the Corporate Systems team by maintaining and enhancing a suite of business‑critical applications that underpin Finance and HR processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the stability, performance, and security of corporate applications.
• Provide operational support and troubleshooting for end‑users across the university.
• Participate in the implementation of QUT’s new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
• Collaborate with IT professionals, clients, and stakeholders to align solutions with the university’s Digital Strategy.
• Monitor system performance, configure settings, and apply updates as required.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualifications or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Extensive experience administering corporate applications, particularly Finance and HR systems.
• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional out‑of‑hours support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
