Senior Employee Data Officer

About the role

Service Stream is looking for an experienced Senior Employee Data Officer to join its Transactional Services team in Melbourne CBD (Collins Street). The role keeps employee data accurate across the whole employee lifecycle, from onboarding to termination. It reports to the Employee Data Lead, works full time permanently, and follows a hybrid arrangement of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, compliant employee records within agreed service levels across onboarding, employment changes, transfers, contract variations and terminations
• Resolve complex queries, manage workflow priorities and act as an escalation point for complex employee data and HR administration issues
• Support employees, managers, Payroll, People & Experience and other stakeholders
• Help manage ServiceNow ticket queues and workload prioritisation
• Mentor and coach Employee Data Officers through on-the-job training and knowledge sharing
• Keep data governance, documentation and audit readiness strong, and identify process improvements to meet team SLAs

Required profile

• 3-5 years' experience in employee data management, HR administration, payroll operations or a similar environment
• Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle processes and employment data management
• Ability to interpret and apply Awards, Enterprise Agreements and legislative requirements
• Proven ability to handle complex queries with excellent customer service
• Strong stakeholder management and communication with employees and leaders at all levels
• Attention to detail, accuracy and a proactive, improvement-focused mindset

Required skills

• HRIS platforms, ideally SAP and/or SuccessFactors
• ServiceNow or similar ticket management systems
