Senior Electrical Engineer - Energy & Resources

About the role

GR Production Services, a division of GR Engineering Services (ASX: GNG), is hiring a full-time Electrical Engineer for its Brisbane CBD office with an immediate start. The engineer provides technical knowledge across electrical systems, projects and operational assets, supporting the transition of projects into safe, reliable and efficient operations. The role helps shape engineering strategy, supports capital project development, reduces downtime and drives asset reliability across gas generation, renewables and BESS.

Key responsibilities

• Lead LV/HV electrical design from 1kV to 275kV, supporting FEED, detailed design, construction and commissioning
• Deliver generator, multi-source changeover, wind, solar and BESS integration solutions
• Oversee switchboard/switchgear inspections, FAT/SAT, compliance audits, HV switching and electrical safety requirements
• Act as Electrical Technical Authority, governing engineering standards, asset strategies, maintenance, reliability, obsolescence and MOC
• Lead capital works and asset improvements, including specifications, scopes, tender evaluations, fault investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Maintain technical documentation and drawings, provide technical reporting and advise, and mentor engineers and operational teams
• Champion health, safety and environmental compliance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent, with RPEQ registration
• Minimum 10 years' experience in electrical engineering, including LV detailed design and project engineering; HV power systems and protection coordination expected for a senior position
• Experience delivering packages of work on Australian oil and gas projects, coordinating field personnel and contractors
• Strong stakeholder and risk management skills across corporate, engineering and field teams
