Senior Electrical Engineer - ASP3 High Voltage

About the role

A multi-disciplinary building services consultancy, described as a highly successful national engineering firm, is growing and needs a Senior Design Engineer. The role reports to the Associates and Directors, assists on challenging projects from inception to completion and maintains strong client relationships. You will work alongside experienced ASP3 designers, some ex-utility, and deliver a full range of supply authority design solutions for building services and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and scope ASP3 high voltage projects for residential, commercial, university, school, utility, industrial, mining, health and defence clients
• Manage and deliver electrical projects from concept through design and construction
• Negotiate with supply authorities and obtain approvals and certifications
• Lead work winning in the private HV market (desirable)
• Attend client meetings and site inspections
• Handle ad-hoc tasks requested by the Group Leader

Required profile

• Degree-qualified engineer recognised by Engineers Australia
• Local experience in a design consultancy or similar; preferred in a building services consultancy
• Experience completing authority design (Ausgrid and Endeavour minimum) and analysing substations, new network connections, asset relocations, maximum demand calculations and compliance and certification
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team
• Candidates must currently reside in Australia
