Senior Education Developer

About the role

Macquarie University is integrating Microsoft Teams into its digital learning environment as part of a university‑wide project. The Senior Education Developer will design, develop and deliver technology‑enhanced learning solutions and train staff to use them confidently.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce high‑quality digital learning solutions that meet timelines, quality standards and budget parameters.
• Provide expert consultancy, advice and training to academic staff, learning designers and central partners.
• Evaluate pedagogical effectiveness, analyse feedback and impact data, and drive evidence‑based improvements.
• Establish digital design standards, templates and functional specifications and promote consistent adoption.
• Manage end‑to‑end learning technology projects, coordinating multidisciplinary contributions and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Experienced education or learning developer with strong pedagogical insight and practical digital expertise.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in technology, instructional design or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a complex environment.
• Knowledge of Australian higher education policy and regulatory environment.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term 12‑month contract (two positions) with a salary of $126,306 – $140,543 per annum plus 17% superannuation.
