Senior Drainage Engineer – Water Resources

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to join its Brisbane Water Resources team. You will lead innovative drainage projects that support sustainable infrastructure for road and rail networks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate drainage engineering projects from concept through to delivery.
• Develop innovative, sustainable drainage designs that meet client and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• RPEQ accreditation.
• Proven drainage experience on civil infrastructure projects, especially road and rail.
• Familiarity with Austroads guidelines, Queensland TMR standards, and QUDM specifications.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage multiple projects.
