Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Join The Lottery Corporation’s technology team to build and optimise secure CI/CD pipelines and platform tooling for both modern and legacy environments, supporting the delivery of Australia’s biggest lottery games.

Key responsibilities

• Build and optimise secure CI/CD pipelines and platform tooling across modern and legacy technology environments.
• Design reusable infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes and Helm.
• Strengthen platform security through secrets management, vulnerability scanning, access controls and supply‑chain protection.
• Create reusable tools, templates and automation to help engineering teams deliver faster and safer.
• Apply AI to pipeline development, infrastructure analysis, incident investigation and operational automation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps, Site Reliability or Platform Engineering within a commercial software environment.
• Production experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration and modern CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions.
• Strong infrastructure‑as‑code capability using Terraform, Ansible or equivalent technologies.
• Cloud and security engineering expertise, including secrets management, access controls, scanning and secure delivery practices.
• Collaborative, pragmatic mindset with ability to mentor engineers, manage incidents and build adoptable solutions.
