Senior DevOps Engineer - Calypso / Capital Markets

About the role

This role plays a key part in building and operating the next-generation Calypso platform, supporting the move from traditional infrastructure to cloud-native and automated delivery. The team is driving initiatives such as Calypso cloud migration, Aurora PostgreSQL adoption, DevOps automation, GitLab SaaS migration, observability improvements and platform modernization.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure supporting the Calypso platform and its services.
• Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab SaaS across environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible for provisioning, deployments and operations.
• Support migrating Calypso workloads from on-premise infrastructure to AWS.
• Improve observability through logging, monitoring, alerting, OpenTelemetry and AWS CloudWatch.
• Support Aurora PostgreSQL migration, environment configuration, database refreshes and deployment automation.
• Manage secrets, certificates, access controls and security configurations.
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, networking and deployment issues, support releases, change management and incident resolution.
• Contribute to DevOps standards, reusable deployment frameworks, operational documentation and containerization initiatives.

Required profile

• 9+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering or SRE.
• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines and automating deployments with GitLab SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Linux administration and scripting with Python or Bash.
• Experience with financial services platforms, ideally Calypso, capital markets, clearing or collateral management.
• Experience supporting business-critical production environments in highly regulated organizations.
• Good understanding of release management, change control, environment management, monitoring and incident response.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across Engineering, QA, Operations, Security and Architecture teams.
