Senior DevOps / Cloud Engineer

About the role

The Senior DevOps Engineer will lead the implementation and delivery of infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration‑management solutions across AWS and Azure environments, mentoring developers and fostering a DevOps culture.

Key responsibilities

• Champion DevOps best practices and drive cultural adoption across engineering teams.
• Design and implement Terraform‑based infrastructure‑as‑code for scalable provisioning on AWS/Azure.
• Architect, optimise and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub or Harness.
• Implement and maintain configuration‑management and environment consistency.
• Lead Kubernetes container‑orchestration initiatives for deployment and scaling.
• Implement secure secrets management with HashiCorp Vault (preferred).
• Create comprehensive technical documentation and promote knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Extensive experience delivering infrastructure‑as‑code and configuration‑management solutions.
• Proven ability to mentor developers and drive automation adoption.
• Strong leadership, cross‑functional collaboration and problem‑solving skills.
• Australian citizenship with continuous residency of at least 3‑5 years.

• Terraform (AWS and/or Azure)
• Kubernetes and Docker containerisation
• Advanced Bash scripting
• CI/CD pipeline tools (Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub, Harness)
• Configuration‑management tools
• HashiCorp Vault (preferred)
• OpenShift (optional)
