Senior Designer/Architect

About the role

Henning Larsen is seeking a Senior Designer/Architect to join its growing Sydney studio. You will work on a diverse portfolio of projects, from theatres and universities to masterplans and headquarters, contributing from concept through detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Develop sophisticated, innovative design responses from strategy to delivery.
• Shape clear design narratives and ensure architectural intent throughout project stages.
• Participate in bids, business development, and city‑shaping projects across Australia and the region.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary and international design teams, leveraging Henning Larsen’s global network.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years postgraduate professional experience in architecture.
• Proven track record in design competitions, feasibility studies, and early‑stage project development.
• Strong conceptual and spatial design capability with technical understanding.
• Excellent visual and verbal communication skills for presentations and design reviews.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Rhino, Revit, Enscape or D5.
• Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience integrating environmental analysis and sustainability strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary and international teams.
