Senior Designer – Roads, Integrated Transport and Mobility

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our Roads, Integrated Transport and Mobility team in Mackay. You will help shape transport infrastructure projects that improve community connectivity and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on complex road and transport projects from concept through to delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers and planners to solve technical challenges.
• Provide high‑quality design advice that informs decision‑making.
• Develop resilient and innovative engineering solutions using advanced analytics and optimisation.
• Ensure designs comply with Austroads, TMR standards and best practice.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification with experience in road design.
• Proven track record delivering TMR and regional road projects.
• Strong understanding of Austroads guidelines and TMR standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to see the big picture and challenge assumptions.
