Lead Electrical Engineer - Industrial

About the role

As a Lead Electrical Engineer – Industrial based in Brisbane, you will drive the delivery of complex electrical projects for the QLD industrial sector. You will act as the primary liaison with clients and internal teams, ensuring technical excellence and project success.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders on electrical works.
• Lead technical design for projects and client portfolios.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver integrated solutions.
• Manage, mentor, and supervise other engineers.
• Oversee project progress, expenditure, and performance outcomes.
• Build strong client relationships and drive opportunities to successful outcomes.
• Promote continuous improvement and uphold best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in low‑voltage (LV) and high‑voltage (HV) electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience on oil and gas projects.
• Proven experience leading electrical teams and mentoring engineers.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects in line with client policies, standards, and specifications.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to see the big picture and challenge assumptions.
