Senior Designer – Civil Structural Design

About the role

Join KBR’s Suburban Rail Loop East Alliance as a Senior or Principal Civil Structural Designer, delivering critical rail infrastructure in Melbourne. This permanent position offers the chance to work on iconic projects and grow within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and drafting activities for structural engineering services on rail and infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with digital engineering, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, civil, and other disciplines to deliver major project components.
• Coach and mentor junior designers, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance environment.

Required profile

• Qualification in drafting or engineering technology with experience in infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication skills and a creative, detail‑focused approach.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment and stakeholder engagement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Bentley software suite, especially OpenBuildings Designer.
• Demonstrated ability to develop engineering solutions for rail and civil structures.
