Senior Dams Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Dams Engineer to join our Brisbane office. The role involves delivering dam projects across the full asset life‑cycle, from investigations and feasibility studies through design, construction support and operation, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage dam projects covering site investigations, feasibility studies, detailed design and analysis.
• Provide construction support and oversee dam operation and maintenance activities.
• Develop and implement dam safety management systems, including surveillance, safety reviews and risk assessments.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Build and maintain client relationships, contributing to proposals and managing financial and technical aspects of projects.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Required profile

• Chartered Professional Civil Engineer; registration with Professional Engineer Queensland is advantageous.
• Relevant civil engineering qualification with extensive dam industry experience.
• Knowledge of ANCOLD and state‑based dam guidelines and regulatory practices.
• Strong communication and technical writing abilities.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to industry events.
