Senior Cost Planner

About the role

The Senior Cost Planner will support the front‑end of the business unit, handling ECI and tender pricing work while developing key client and QS relationships. This role involves creating rated cost plans, managing tender processes and providing high‑level cost planning advice.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and create rated cost plans for multiple tenders.
• Develop relationships with clients and quantity surveyors to identify future work opportunities.
• Provide high‑level cost planning advice and assess preliminary estimates against construction programmes.
• Manage the Request for Tenders process, securing suitable trade coverage.
• Analyse trade coverage, risk, opportunities and value management for each tender.
• Compile tender submissions and returnable schedules within stipulated timeframes.
• Present cost plans to clients and handle post‑tender queries.

Required profile

• Construction Management or Quantity Surveying degree.
• 10‑15 years post‑graduate experience with a Tier 1/2 head contractor.
• Experience delivering tenders in the NSW building sector across hospitality, commercial, education, aged‑care and industrial projects.
• Friendly, approachable personality with sound judgement.
