Senior Corporate M&A Lawyer (Sydney)

About the role

We are partnering with a top‑tier international law firm to recruit a Senior Solicitor for its Corporate M&A practice in Sydney. The successful candidate will work on high‑value transactions across multiple jurisdictions, supporting both domestic and cross‑border clients.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, private‑equity investments and corporate reorganisations.
• Lead large‑scale due‑diligence projects and prepare comprehensive due‑diligence reports.
• Draft and negotiate corporate and commercial documentation, including acquisition agreements, joint‑venture contracts and post‑merger integration plans.
• Support deal execution, joint‑venture structuring and corporate governance matters.
• Contribute to business‑development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in corporate M&A and private‑equity.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Outstanding academic record and proven negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Extensive experience in M&A transactions and private‑equity deals.
• Proficiency in conducting due‑diligence and drafting complex corporate documents.
• Excellent analytical and commercial reasoning abilities.
