Senior Communications Officer – Multimedia

About the role

The Senior Communications Officer will support the planning, development and delivery of internal and external communications for major infrastructure projects across Western Australia. You will create clear, timely and engaging content that raises awareness of project activities, impacts and benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Develop communication strategies and action plans to raise awareness of project activities and benefits.
• Prepare and coordinate engaging materials such as project updates, internal publications, speech notes, intranet content and presentations.
• Create and coordinate digital and multimedia content, including web‑ready graphics, PDFs, imagery, video and other multimedia assets.
• Work collaboratively with OMID teams, delivery partners and stakeholders to ensure accurate, accessible and aligned communications.
• Identify communication needs, issues and risks and support appropriate responses.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in planning, developing and delivering communications for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to identify communication needs and risks.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
