Senior Communications Advisor (Social Media)

About the role

Health and Wellbeing Queensland (HWQld), the state's prevention agency, is seeking a Senior Communications Advisor (Social Media) to lead the development, delivery and evaluation of its social media presence across paid and organic channels. You will build awareness of the organisation, its programmes, campaigns and priority initiatives, and give high-level social media and digital communications advice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and maintain HWQld's social media presence and develop strategies to build online engagement and extend the agency's online reach.
• Coordinate content creation strategies, including creative concept development, copywriting, photography/image creation and short-form video, for use across the organisation.
• Develop paid social media strategies and implement, manage, monitor and report on social campaigns using Meta Ads Manager.
• Provide high-level social media and digital communications advice and manage projects, resources and vendors.
• Monitor performance using social and website analytics, including GA4, and identify emerging trends and opportunities.

Required profile

• Strong skills in strategy, content creation, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to contribute to the agency's reconciliation and health equity work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and to foster an equitable, diverse and inclusive workplace.
