Senior Commercial Manager

About the role

Anduril Industries, a defence technology company, is looking for a Contracts / Commercial Manager in Sydney to support Government, International and Commercial contracts and programs. The role oversees the full contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance, minimizing risk and optimizing contract performance, and works closely with the legal and proposal teams as well as accounting, business operations, program and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute contract management throughout the life of each contract, including review and acceptance.
• Plan and manage contract proposals and support their preparation.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, legal requirements and company policies.
• Help develop and implement new contract policies and processes, and keep comprehensive contract documentation and compliance records.
• Provide contract summaries, briefs to program managers and executives, and guidance on ASDEFCON requirements and other regulatory matters.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external customers and give contractual guidance and risk mitigation advice.
• Negotiate complex contractual terms with government agencies, prime contractors and subcontractors.

Required profile

• 6+ years of relevant contract management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, government or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of Australian Government contracting, including ASDEFCON, Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and/or the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF).
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance.
• Preferred: direct experience with major Australian defence primes, IACCM/CPCM or similar credentials, a graduate degree, and knowledge of AUKUS initiatives.

Required skills
