Senior Commercial Analyst

About the role

REA Group, a leading global digital business in property, is hiring two Senior Commercial Analysts for its Commercial Finance team within the Finance and Business Services Group, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. The roles are permanent and based in Melbourne, and the analyst acts as a key business partner, providing analysis and insights to maximise commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, model and deliver accurate budgets, forecasts and long-range plans for revenue and costs, informed by market trends, REA strategy and key business drivers
• Track, analyse and report financial and business performance in a timely way that supports decision-making
• Assess the financial returns of key projects and investments and advise on the viability of capital investment
• Build relationships across finance and other functions and act as an effective business partner
• Identify and pursue improvements to processes, systems, tools and meetings
• Apply knowledge of professional accounting and regulatory standards and ensure SOX compliance requirements are met

Required profile

• Experience in an accounting firm or in an industry environment in a commercial capacity
• CA/CPA qualification
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and stakeholder management
• Strong initiative, ownership, analytical capability, numeracy and accountability

Required skills

• Analysis, modelling, budgeting and forecasting experience
• Advanced Excel skills
