Senior Cloud & Systems Engineer

About the role

HUB24 is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud & Systems Engineer to design, build and operate secure, scalable, and highly‑available cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with additional work on AWS, Terraform, and enterprise cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure across GCP and AWS, with primary emphasis on GCP.
• Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules, manage infrastructure‑as‑code across multiple environments.
• Lead technical delivery, including code reviews, solution design and implementation planning.
• Establish and promote cloud, IaC and engineering standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud, networking, security, infrastructure and identity issues in production and non‑production environments.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, automation, documentation, architecture artefacts, operational procedures and runbooks.
• Mentor engineers and support incident response, including occasional after‑hours support.

Required profile

• 8+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in engineering roles.
• Strong production engineering experience with GCP and/or AWS, preferably deep GCP expertise.
• Advanced hands‑on experience with Terraform, including modules, state management and multi‑environment deployments.
• Solid knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, security and identity.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement technical solutions and lead delivery.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving and communication skills.
